James Wright

Co-Founder/CTO – CYBER DEFENSE TECHNOLOGIES

At 18, James enlisted in the Air Force, where he was trained in encryption and cryptography.  Shortly after his enlistment he was deployed to the CENTCOM theatre as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He later returned for a second deployment during Operation Enduring Freedom.  While stationed at March Joint Air Reserve Base in southern California, James completed a B.S. at California State University, San Bernardino in Business Management and Administration with a concentration in International Business.

Following his enlistment and the completion of his B.S. degree, James moved to the DC metro area and continued to work in the information systems security field as a contractor.  James continued to develop his skills and knowledge working with a variety of organizations, including the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Education, and various components of the Department of Defense and intelligence communities.

Outside of his work as a security engineering, James enjoys practicing martial arts and is an avid Jiu Jitsu practitioner.  He enjoys motorsports of all kinds, occasionally spending the day at Virginia International Raceway or at Summit Point.  James also loves to travel internationally and is a fan of extreme vacations.  When James is not busy with his work or hobbies, he can be found at home enjoying time with his family and two dogs.

James holds a B.S. in Business Management and Administration with a concentration in International Business from the California State University, San Bernardino.

His technical certifications include: CEH, CNDA, CPT, CICP
